If you want to go a little further than to just preorder Skyrim read on…
Bethesda will be handing out an “unknown reward” to any couple who has a baby on 11/11/11 and names him or her “Dovahkiin”. That’s according to Pete Hines of Bethesda. 11/11/11 is, in the eyes of Bethesda and fans, Skyrim Day — the day The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is scheduled to be released. In a blog post on the official Bethesda blog, it was revealed that Hines believes now is the best time for couples to.. ermm.. Conceive if they plan on attempting this. This is, for me, quite a strange event and I don’t know what to make of this, so just read the details for yourself.
“So, think you have the stat points in you to produce the perfect eight pound dragon-slayer? Like the wizened wizard he is, Pete is throwing down with a casual quest, offering up an unknown reward to any couple adventurous enough to name their 11/11/11-born child “Dovahkiin.” While it may be difficult to play Skyrim from the hospital, just think of how many late nights you’ll have to lull your little Dragonborn with Jeremy Soule’s soothing music,” the blog post read.
Head on over to the source to read the rather humerous disclaimer. Anyone going to give this a go?
